Late, January Afternoon.
Jan 5th
My son and I, spent the afternoon taking down the Christmas tree and related decorations around our home. It always seems to be more of a chore to remove these items than it is when we put them up in early December.
We were outside putting the tree out by the curb for tomorrow’s pick up, when I spent a few moment looking up at the sky and admired the way it looked on this cold afternoon. I picked up my G11 and captured our tree as it caught the last orange glow from the waning, winter sun.
This image was captured at 100 ISO, f/5.6 @ 1/125 sec. Then, I did some minor tweaking in Lightroom to saturate the sky and tree a bit, followed with some darkening of the sky with a graduated filter.
Let’s see what image I’ll capture on the morrow. : )
