My Little Cat is off to Mexico.
Jan 25th
My wife and I dropped off my daughter at the airport as she will be spending three weeks in Mexico with her maternal grandparents. I must admit I was not too keen on the idea of her taking a trip down there, but I have forced myself to be more open and accepting in letting her go and explore the world without us. As a father, I must deal with the burden of concern and of worrying, difficult as this may be. But, I am looking forward to the day my wife and I will pick her up from the airport, happy that she is home again.

Targa Florio.
Oct 6th
What is the Targa Florio?
The Targa is an an open road endurance race held in the mountains of Sicily near Palermo. it was created in 1906 by race driver, Vincenzo Florio, who had started the Coppa Florio race in Brescia, Lombardy in 1900.
Considered one of the toughest competitions in Europe, the first Targa Florio covered 277 miles (446 km) through multiple hairpin curves on treacherous mountain roads, at heights where severe changes in climate frequently occurred. The inaugural race was won in nine hours, averaging 30 miles per hour (50 km/h). Private and corporate racing teams would vie for the coveted title of “Targa,” which translates to “shield” or “plate.”
By the mid-1920s, the Targa Florio had become one of Europe’s most important races, as neither the 24 Hours of Le Mans nor the Mille Miglia had been established yet.
Due to safety concerns, the last real Targa Florio as an international professional race was run in 1973. The Targa was continued as a national event for some years, before a fatal crash sealed its fate in 1977. It is since run as a rallying event.
It is still going in some form or another.

What Could Have Been.
Sep 8th
Roughly about this time last year, I started a little personal endeavor I called f/365. It was a photo project that I began at my now defunct Vic’s Blog @ fotocurve, where I would commit to posting an image I would capture daily for a year.
Well, I would have completed the year in images if it wasn’t for the viral destruction of my original blog, forcing me to shut down that site and creating this one.
It was heartbreaking to have lost all the posts and all the work I put into that blog, but I couldn’t see myself starting everything from scratch, so I decided to create a new blog here.
I did continue with a similar 365 project that I started at flickr with Faded and Blurred, and post a daily image there. We started on January 1st and will finish this project come December 31st!
I put together a gallery of some of the images I captured during those first 8 months of f/365 as a homage to what could have been.

Nick Mason: Rock Legend… Car Guy.
Aug 31st
If you are a fan of Pink Floyd, the name of Nick Mason is sure to be a familiar one. As the drummer for this legendary band, he has been the only constant member of the band since its formation in 1965.
But outside of the music world, Nick’s true passion is something foreign to most of Pink Floyd’s fan base. Nick loves cars! Race cars to be more precise. He owns a very unique collection encompassing some very rare and valuable cars. Among them, the ultra rare and very expensive, Ferrari 250 GTO. His father got him hooked at an early age and has been into cars ever since.
In recent years, with Pink Floyd’s recording and touring schedule down to a minimum of dates, he was been able to devote more time to cars and racing. He owns (through his company Ten Tenths) and races several classic cars, and has competed successfully at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. His collection has been a subject of his 1998 book, Into the Red in which he documents his experience with his cars along with some histories. He is also a qualified pilot, and flies an Aerospatiale AS 350 Squirrel helicopter in specially painted colors.

La Bella, Bellucci.
Aug 24th
beau·ty [byoo-tee] Beauty is a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning, or satisfaction. An “ideal beauty” is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection. – Wikipedia
Nothing is more pleasing to the male eye than a truly beautiful women. Say what you will, that beauty is only skin deep and that real beauty comes from within. Yes, we know all that and also that we should never judge a book by it’s cover… got it.
True as these statements are, we act instinctively and use our senses to evaluate one another. That’s just the way we are. We are hard wired that way. So, when confronted by a breathe taking girl, it is difficult to fight the urge to look and admire her for her physical beauty.
Italian actress and fashion model, Monica Bellucci is a perfect example of a truly beautiful women. Although I may not know too much about her character or personality (I’m sure she is a lovely person), the point of our admiration here is for her physical beauty. So, enjoy a selection of images in the gallery below, of la bella, Bellucci.
